Xie Receives 2017 EHE Distinguished Research Award

Dr. Kui Xie, our lab director, receives the 2017 EHE Distinguished Research Award. The EHE Distinguished Research Award honors one individual every year who advances the field through transforming and integrating knowledge, facilitating learning, solving compelling problems, contributing to public policy, evaluating practices and programs, or interpreting knowledge for relevant audiences.

Some comments from his nominations include:

“Dr. Xie is a rising star in the international community of scholars studying learning technologies. In his Research Laboratory for Digital Learning, he supports an outstanding team of researchers, including three full-time research scientists, five graduate student research associates and three graduate student affiliates.”

“Naturally, Kui’s research is beginning to contribute to public policy through his advocacy for the incorperation of technology within education. Kui’s thoughts regarding the future direction that technology will play in education has been featured in TIME magazine and NPR Radio.”
